Delorean

Delorean are a little band from Spain who have jumped on the post-MGMT alternative indie bandwagon that have seen bands like Phoenix take off. Their summery, dancy, indie pop seems like it will fit right into the sound of the moment, the only shame being that their lead singer doesn't really have much of a voice. Even that, though, seems to be fashionable (see numbers game, wolf gang and egyptian hip hop) so, carry on delorean! Their EP was released a while ago, their album is supposed to be out, conveniently in time for the summer, in June but has leaked all over the internet accidentally or on purpose so check it out. As far as I can tell its all pretty generic, definately will be a good album to have on this summer. The stand out track from their collection for me is an old one, not on their new album, but if any song is going to make you fall in love with this band it'll have to be this.

Melancholy Hill

There was a lot of hype around the new Gorillaz album, with good reason. Their first two albums (Gorillaz and Demon Days) produced some big hits such as Dare, Clint Eastwood and Feel Good Inc. to name a few. The first single from the album, Stylo, disappointed a lot of people, including myself. However, after listening to the whole album, I've decided I like it a lot, and I encourage other people to do the same. Here's my favourite track from the album, Melancholy Hill:

Freelance Whales

so here is our first post, we started out as a humble student radio station, and have now moved into the world of blogging. BOOM.

To start us off is Generator^First Floor, the first song off New York based band Freelance Whales' new album. Its been remixed by Aislyn, which is the side project of one of the dudes from Passion Pit that he does with is girlfrind. The original is good, they have just made it that bit more dreamwave.
